Espanyol have confirmed that coach Javier Aguirre will leave the club at the end of the season.

The Mexican joined the Catalan outfit midway through the 2012-13 campaign and guided the club to a 13th-placed finish at the end of that term.

They have experienced a similar season this time around, currently lying 12th in La Liga with one match left to play, away to Real Madrid on Saturday.

It has been a disappointing end to the campaign, however, with Espanyol s last league win coming against Malaga on March 25.

In a press conference on Friday, club president Joan Collet confirmed the announcement.

Luis Suarez has officially re-joined his first club Nacional in his native Uruguay.

The 35-year-old, who was a free agent after leaving Atletico Madrid at the end of last season, announced on Tuesday that an agreement was in place to return to Nacional.

That transfer officially went through on Wednesday, though the length of the contract was not disclosed by the South American club.

Ex-Argentina international Heinze, who made 83 appearances for United before moving to Madrid where he played 58 games, was confirmed as Argentinos Juniors coach in the country s second division on Tuesday.

The appointment is Heinze s second as a senior coach, after taking over top-flight outfit Godoy Cruz ahead of the 2015-16 season, before being sacked following just 10 games having overseen two wins, two draws and six defeats.
