Bayern Munich still have an interest in signing great talent Callum Hudson-Odoi, coach Hansi Flick has confirmed.
The Chelsea winger was a target for the Bundesliga giants in January 2019 and links persisted again in the next transfer window, but he signed a new five-year contract at Stamford Bridge last September.
Having suffered an Achilles injury late in the 2018-19 season, however, Hudson-Odoi has struggled to rediscover the form that made him an England international.
But the 19-year-old made his first Premier League start of the season against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
And while Hudson-Odoi was in action, Flick reaffirmed his admiration for the teenager amid reports he could move to Bavaria on loan.
I don t know what happens, Flick told a news conference ahead of Bayern s game with Hertha Berlin on Sunday. But he s one of the greatest talents in his position.
He can play on the wing but also as the number 10. It therefore makes sense for us at Bayern to deal with him.

The coach was less forthcoming on Marc Roca, the Espanyol midfielder who is said to be close to joining the Champions League winners.
Who? Flick asked with a laugh. I already know who that is.
But I don t say anything about it, I will neither confirm nor deny it. We have Hertha tomorrow and that is what matters.
On Bayern s involvement in the transfer market, he added: It won t be long until Monday [the transfer deadline].
We ll wait. I have complete confidence. When Monday is over, we can define our goals.
Bayern still have Michael Cuisance in their squad after the winger failed a medical at Leeds United.
The situation is definitely not easy for him. It was a setback for him, Flick said. Our medical department sees it completely differently.
That s why we continue to count on him. We support him.
He didn t train today [Saturday] because he didn t take a coronavirus test. That s why we are not allowed to take him into the squad.
